Throw back to the solo exhibition “A Room With Trees - Dai Xianjing: Trees Whisper Solo Exhibition” at Once Gallery.

“Trees Whisper” is Dai Xianjing's earliest photography series and has been going on for ten years. In the exhibition, trees of different shapes that come from all over the world constellate here, a dialogue between the artist and the trees, alluding to her individual growth and contemplation in nature. The exhibition took place at "One Atelier", a space surrounded by plants. The images and the real trees live here together in the life cycle of nature.

The exhibition included the words and phrases written by Dai Xianjing, which run through the audience's viewing experience. In addition to her role as a photography artist, she is also a filmmaker and writer.

Dai Xianjing was born in Nanjing in 1988, currently lives and works in Beijing. She is sensitive to women, urban culture and nature, using them as the core of her inspiration, her exploration of "relationship" - between man and herself, with others, and with everything in the universe.

“Trees Whisper” is Dai Xianjing's earliest photography series and has been going on for ten years. She believes that man and nature construct each other and both engage in each other's scene: Nature is a natural and objective existence. But the word landscape in her subjective world needs to establish a relationship between seeing and being seen, because of human intervention, this mutual perception becomes the “landscape”. Dai Xianjing's works have been reported by major influential media in China.
