Zhou Chi’s works reflect classical splendor and allegorical mystery, capturing a primitive yet natural feeling that can go unnoticed in urban living. To express people and objects, she employs what she calls “touchable vision”, combining what you see in front of you with a palpable sensation. The connotation behind her works are diverse, as she blurs the boundaries between plane and three-dimensional. She has exhibited her works in Milan, Nantes (France), and Shanghai. Her first solo exhibition the “Little Yellow” Doesn’t Know was staged in 2021 in Beijing. Zhou Chi is now pursuing her doctorate at her alma mater, the Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing), after further studies at the Nantes Academy of Fine Arts.
